I’ve written pieces for The New Yorker, New York Magazine, Oxford American, GQ, and other spots. With Daniel R. Day, I co-authored Dapper Dan: Made in Harlem. I also teach writing, recently at City College of New York’s MFA program and at Lafayette College. I was a 2022-23 Schomburg Center Scholars-in-Residence fellow doing research for an upcoming book about playground basketball, coming soon!
